        I had the same problem last year after adding 10 ton of steer manure
to a 1200 sq ft patch the previous fall. The only advice I could get was to
water it out. It worked, but made a bad hole in my stored rainwater.(6000 gal)
        I have since been told that dairy manure is better since they feed them
 different.
        Hopes this helps, as I know that helpless feeling as your plant seem's
to let you down.
