Harold,

Flatbed color scanners are now incredibly cheap. If you can afford a
greenhouse, you can afford a scanner. For example, www.shopping.com lists
the UMAX Astra 1220P 600x1200 36-bit color flatbed scanner for $79.
(No typo). I don't know how good it is (I have a different brand) but for
quick line drawings I would guess that it is acceptable.

Another option is to get a digital camera and take photos of your drawings
which you can download to your computer. They are also very handy for
taking photos for web pages, although they tend to cost quite a bit more
than $79.

The cheapest route as someone else pointed out is to have them scanned
at a local copy/print shop, although if you are going to do a bunch then
the $79 scanner might be cheaper in the long run.

Shaun

PS: Got any microscope recommendations? I saw that you CCed another
message to a microscope list...
