Pumpkinguy,

Now you have me worried. I live in northern Connecticut and planted my seeds
on 4/19. The first began to peek out last night. The protection that I have
planned is a mini-greenhouse made of 2 by 3's and clear plastic. I will also
put black plastic over my hill at least one week prior to transplanting. Do
you think this will be enough protection for a May 2nd planting date? This
is my second year growing AG's but last year I had know idea when to plant
or what I was doing. This year I have read the books and feel like should
easily double my 125 pounder from last year. I am probably making lots of
mistakes but I guess I will learn from it. Maybe I should plant some
backup's too? What are the other CT growers doing?

I have planted the following seeds I received from Alan R.:
551 Reynolds '98 (747 Hebb x 600 Jones) - first to germinate
597 Reynolds '98 (833 Handy x 906 Handy)
435 Reynolds '98 (680 Wallace x 600 Jones)

Comments welcomed.
Ken
