RE: Damage to Pumpkin

Barb,

Thanks for the kind concern. My intentions were not to develop new
weight estimation schemes (I agree, the weight charts are good hard work
proved right) but rather to chart, hour by hour, the pumpkins growth
curve. I was hoping to later correlate growth with events and conditions
the preceding 12-18 hours.
I was thinking  maybe in-organic material such as Teflon might not pose
as great a risk. This line would most likely be no more than ¼ inch wide
and  be free to move as the pumpkin grows. So far you and Jon have
voiced experiences in-consistent with the desired outcome. Any one else
care to add to this?
