Hi Brandon,
My setup is a dome covered tray placed on a waterbed heater. The waterbed
heater is pretty stable. You may need to adjust the settings on the heater a
bit higher to obtain the desired soil temp. In my case, 93° on the heater to
have 80° in the pots. I moistened my starting mix, then planted the seeds
(after soaking and filing), and have not watered since. So far, I have a
100% germination rate.
