Hello to all! I soaked the seeds 8 hours, wrapped each in a wet paper
towel, placed each packet into a baggie, put them all in a Tupperware
container in the oven (it was off) on a heating pad on LOW. After all night
and all day, there were sprouts. The second day, I had a nice root with
cotyledons poking out! Now tonight, when I go home, they will be ready to
plant in their little pots! That sure didn't take long and worked really
well! Now if they just get a pumpkin that grows as fast as they germinated,
it will be really exciting!
I listened to all the advice you all have put out there and have the soil
ready and the hoop greenhouse ready to go up this weekend.
My only other comment is: to Chris Michalec---GET A LIFE! What is this "and
the other one spouted 15 MINUTES LATER!!! Are you watching them
constantly??? Didn't you know that a "watched pot never boils"!! Ha Ha
Actually, I'm just giving you the business because I saw that 15 minutes
later comment! I couldn't stop laughing! I know we are all compulsive, but
really now, Chris. Go water your roses or something!
