I have had little no problems EVER with insects in my pumpkin
patch but with prospects for a big one this year it I do not want to take
any chances. I use a couple of rows of corn as a wind break and they are
getting heavily infested with aphids and I am worried they will jump ship and
invade the pumpkins. Normally I would spray with Cygon as I have get
results wit this product. Question is, how is it with pumpkins? It
has worked wonders killing off insects on all my other plants but I have never
used it on vegetables. I don't care about eating my pumpkin I just do not
want to hurt the plant (I don't care too much about the corn either as it
was planted as a wind brake for the pumpkins).
I know there has been lots of discussion
about insecticide so I know about what is recommended, but I have
access to free Cygon and not all of us have money to spend (I am
still trying to justify the fertilizer and manure - I better get 500 Lbs. or I'm
in trouble.....) ;)
