Genes(not trivia)

Here is a matter I have wondered about for a long time and I'll bet someone
has the answer for us.

We can read that in 1981 Howard Dill won the contest at Philadelphia with a
493.5 pounder that was declared the new World Record, always a great
accomplishment.

Many of the AG's since then contain some genes from this fruit.

I often wonder if there is a list of contestants and weights that we could
see?Who where the other growers?
What happened to their AG seeds? Are there seeds out there somewhere still
that could add more diversity to the present gene pool?Etc.

Any info at all on the contest details would be welcome.--AE
