Hi Everyone

This year my pumpkins are considerably behind last years pace. I attribute
this mainly to the weather. Plenty of rain, not enough sunshine. My largest
pumpkin is more than 100 pounds lighter than last seasons at this time.

Any other N.E. growers out there willing to trade notes?

I would normally agree with you that because of the lack of sunshine all
Pumpkins should be behind. But I have one this year that is ahead of all
others I have ever grown. Even though it is a high Pumpkin it grew as much
as 6" a day in July and 5.5" after a day of restricted sunshine. Who knows
if the summer had been normal it might have blown up by now. Being the first
Pumpkin I have ever seen do this I don't have anything to compare it with. It
 is a AG-756-PG-97 (567.5 Mombert 92 X 559 Geerts 95).
