John, I use a several sheets on the pumpkin inside the tents. My thought
is it helps keep the pumpkin warm at night and growing longer into the
morning. I also use blue tarps to help keep the pumpkin warmer. My thought
is a warm pumpkin is a happy pumpkin. Cantalouping is a normal maturing of
the fruit and really can't avoided.
I'm sorry I haven't been keeping up on your updates on Quasimodo. What was
your pollination date and how many inches is it growing ott per day?
