The End
Some poetic justice may be going on here.
I am to leave for a vacation to Alaska - one of those dream things - small
ship (large boat?), kayaking into glacier filled fiords, return to the boat
at night for wine and wonderful meals, talk about the whales and the grizzley
bear encounters.
so what does Quaz do but develop a blossom end split. when I have been
worrying about his stem end! Stuck a straw in felt no resistance. Packed the
little one inch crack full of Captan, but....
"Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned." Change that to a pumpkin left alone
by a grower on vacation.
So, pollinated on July 2, now gaining 4 inches a day, and possibly going into
terminal distress on August 15.
Let you know what happens when we return.
