main vine rot near stump

HI LIST :I  discovered my main vine is mushy near the stump about 15 inchs 
out for about 15 it was buryied for the whole season so i unburyied it and 
dusted with captions and put a fan on it. Is there anything else i should do. 
I,d appreicate any input. thanks
