Do not apply directly to the plant leaves. It will burn holes in them when 
moisture is present. I found that out the hard way this yr. I have since 
applied directly to the soil and also dissolved some in water and applied 
with a hose sprayer. Some growers like to hold off until September and others 
will start applying now. Which is best, I don't know? But I would use it in 
moderation. I'm sure there are others growers with greater experience than me 
that will weigh in on your question.
