first time grower

It is my first growing season and I am truly enjoying the experience along
with my 4 year old twins. I think the heavy amount of rain in NE Pa. has
my plants far behind schedule but it is still lots of fun. To date 2 sets
are only at 62" and the growth seems to have slowed down and the fruit
color has changed to a nice orange. Is the season over for me or can I
expect some continued growth?. The pollination date was 7/15 and 7/20 so I
was expecting larger pumpkins by now. I think I need some better seeds for
next year. Help!
