Speaking of theories....
I'd like to postulate a new theory:
Once a thread has left the main subject of an email list, subsequent
additions to the thread will depart the main subject by increasingly greater
margins.
I call this the "Paul Thompson Unnecessary Information" theory -- "P-tui"
for short.
At some time, someone has to say, "Enough already. P-tui on that! Let's get
back to pumpkins."
