RE: Tiny split

Andrew,

Even if your pumpkin does not make it to an 'official' weighoff site, you
have accomplished something few have. Do not short change yourself.

The significance of an 'official' pumpkin weight is relative to the grower.
If your primary goal in growing AGs is competitive comradary and
recognition, then your local weighoff site is more than likely your target.
If on the other hand, you wish only to better your personal best and donate
the statistics of your accomplishment back to the sport, well, an
unofficial weight will do just fine. If I was fortunate enough to be in
your shoes, I would get that baby weighed as accurately as possible at the
first sign of catastrophic failure. An accurate weight and set of
measurements is much more significant and beneficial than a 1000 pounds of
rotting pumpkin goo.

Just my opinion,
Mike Nepereny
