Re: K fertilizer

Where to find a water soluble high in K? I know there have been mention
before on this board but maybe someone in my neck of the woods NW PA
(Bradford, home of the famous ZIPPO!!!) has it but I think I've covered a 50
mile radius (or more) to no avail. I have been experimenting with the
granulated potassium and dissolving it in water and sprinkling it on,
without being a true horticulturist (gardener) does this help expedite the
availibility to the plant roots? I am very careful as to the amount without
knowing as to how hot this is once it is dissolved. Am I wasting my time or
truly doing some good? How long does it take in granulated form if you water
it in?
