 Sorry to all that have lost pumpkins. I am holding on by a prayer to God...
My 791 Glasier is taping out to 120 circumference and 261 OTT for an
estimated weight of 371 lbs. The stem is slowly cracking and every day a few
more pop up. The whole stem looks like it will simply pull off any minute so
I am holding my breath. I have the stem treated with captan and have reduced
the water to try and slow it down and give it a chance to heal. It went from
21-25 lbs a day to 10 lbs from my light watering so it is a day to day
struggle for it.
   I feel the pain of all of you that have lost pumpkins and I am treading
water to keep from joining you. to all of you may you have the best of luck
on your other plants and next year.....
