 Sorry to hear your vine broke! This happened to me last year. if you treat
it with
sulfur powder or captan and keep it REALLY dry for a few days it will heal.
The smaller vine attachment won't give you the boost that you will need to
grow that MONSTER but will defiantly keep it alive and put on enough weight
to be measurable. Last year the stem broke 3/4 of the way and I still was
looking on average of one inch a day which at the same time was the growth
rate of my squash that was perfect so go figure... Good luck and keep it dry
!!!
