NO NO i'm the BIGGEST

 Well actually it is a TIED GAME !!!!!! today I measured my three AG's and
the bigger ones have slowed down but the squash is still clicking along.
Check this out my 791 Glasier 98 "CARNAGE" and my 986 Hester 00* "THE FLYING
DUTCHMEN" are tied at 509.1 lbs = 292.5 OTT wow I am SOOOOO happy... Doubled
my personal best and still counting... For you greenie lovers the 547
Kournikakis "THE GIFT" tapes in at a solid 416 lbs = 272 OTT.
  I wanted to comment on the amendment thing !!! I put so much work in the
patch for the 791 and 986 that I kept working in it every week I put fresh
kelp, compost, commercial manure and ALLOT more!! fine tuned the soil with
granular fertilizers and really gave my patch the best of everything
including aeration pipes deep vine burying and everything this list said
could be done... Now my point is that the 547 Kournikakis is beating the ODDS
BADLY. Planted in a hole in my "lawn?" only watered at the trunk and lightly
fertilized this plant is incredible I just am not sold on the over amended
patch idea any more.. Next year I will put in 20 cubic yards of compost get a
soil test and WHAM that's IT no more no less I am only using the compost for
a slow feed and to retain water !!! I just don't think that the effort I put
in for the main patch has paid off more than the 547 and not worrying about
it !!! WELL that's my two cents !!!!
