Help I have a pumpkin that measures , by the over top method, 272" 411lb My problem is a bad place on the stim. I haven't grown any for a few years and would like to know the modern way of treating this? The old method was to use a tooth brush and get the rot out rense with a mixture of chlorox and water and apply captan. I even forget the correct mixture for the chlorox. Any help would be appreciated. It is growing at the rate of 20 lbs a day.

Gene. I use about a teaspoon to a coffee mug of water. I use a tooth brush to clean the area. I keep the coffee cup and hit the ones that are ozing from too much grow and the cracks untill the mix is gone.
Good Luck
