Hi Guys!
We harvested the fruit from the 573 Stucker yesterday and did the
autopsy. Discovered a gopher hole leading right up to the vigorous main
root, which had been gnawed through. Wonderful root systems at the leaf
nodes had kept it growing slowly even after the attack, and it was
closer to 177 [est.] by yesterday.
Very encouraging to me, at my still-newbie status, was that the soil
beneath the surface looked perfect, not wet, not dry, with great
friability.
Thanks to all of you who advised me on the seeds. I have them drying on
the window screen. How long do I let them air dry, and how do I store
them?
Thanks!
Kathie
