Hi all, I have a question.  Im growing halloween pumpkins, and wonder, is it
ok to thin out the patch.  There are alot of suckers growing from the main
vines, and the whole patch has turned into a mess.  So I know for next year,
is it ok to let pumpkins form on suckers, or just the main vine?    Thanks
Barbara

Hi Barbara
Yes you can thin. Think about how many days you have until it is Halloween or if you are in a frost area, how many days until the frost happens. If you are going for big ones let  them grow and thin them out. If you are just growing regular pumpkins leave them on.
Good Luck
