654 Troy genetics
Kathy...the momma is the seed that grew the plant that produced the Troy
654, in this case the Mombert 940. It is true that since it is open
pollinated, we don't know how many men she had or who is the father.

This is so confusing. Why would we ask Bob Troy who is the father of the
Troy 654 if the mother is the 940 Mombert? Ought we not rather ask Kirk?
I thought it was the Troy that was open-pollinated.
Maybe we need to chalk a mark to see who gets the benefit of the pollen,
the wife/blossom who will carry the genes from the pollen within her
seeds, or the daughter/blossom whose own characteristics will somehow
change depending upon which potential father dusts her.
