Gardening software

I have been looking into getting some type of gardening software and trying
out to see how good it would be. Can anyone tell me about any of the programs
that are available. I have found Ortho's Problem Solver, Sierra's Gardening
program, and a few others. Are there any good ones out there. Also is there
any of them that you can keep a Diary in on plants as they grow, such as
pumpkins?
Also what type programs is everyone using now to keep track of all there
stuff? I have a couple small forms I use on excel. Are there any other
programs other than excel people are using, such as lotus approach or anything
else? Just wondering what all I might be missing out on. If I remember right
some people are using them to keep track of plant growth, pumpkin growth,
fertilizing and insect spraying schedules and such.
