Re: female flowering

i think the fall frosts and low temps would put an end to your growing season before November?

What if you let them grow longer? Could they still get to 1000 lbs?

My pumpkins were pollinated rather late. I've got one on day 10 today and a couple that I'm waiting to set. But, there is a fair early in Novemeber (The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair in Toronto) that I may be able to enter them in.

So, could another month at the end of the growing season make up for time lost at the beginning?

Thanks,
Marc

Too late to grow a 1000lber, yes. Too late to grow a nice 500+lber, no. You'll still have time to get a nice pumpkin. Good luck.
