Re: female flowering
Though I am not an expert by any means, I have been growing pumpkins for many years. I live a much different climate than many. We typically don't start summer weather here until July, and August and September are definitely our hottest months. October can be downright summer-like as well. We generally don't see our first frost until mid November, sometimes December. I live along the Central Coast of California. I have no idea when you would normally get your frost and low temps, but I just wanted to point out how different the climates can be in different regions. When do you typically get frost and fall temps? I usually get the entire month of October to finish up the pumpkins.
