Your situation does not pose a problem because the water will drain away. Each are about 1 1/2 inches long and 1/2 inch wide. I patched with captan. Inside the holes it does not seem gooey like its rotting. But theholes are slowly getting larger as the pumpkin continues to grow. I'm keeping the sun on it to keep it dry. Any ideas on how to control or stop it? Willthe pumpkin still be weigh-in eligible with those problems? Any feedback is appreciated.
