If you think there's even the slightest chance it could be
mildew you should spray for that - early, before it even
thinks about getting hot or you will crispy critter your plant.
I use 1 tsp baking soda, 1 tsp light cooking oil, a bit of
Ivory dish soap and a quart of water in a spray bottle.
Spray the vine, too.
Now, if they're doing something else, ignore me.
You've got squash bugs already crossed off the list, right?
