I thought that any pumpkin was subject to blow out given
sufficient water, especially often in conjunction with high
Nitrogen fertilizer. This year has sure been wet for a lot
of people.
I certainly get them on pumpkins other than AGs if we get a
gully washer or a lot of rain in 24-48 hours after near
drought conditions.
