For organic mildew solutions, you have at least two choices.
1 tsp baking soda, 1 tsp light cooking oil & a few drops
of Ivory dishwashing soap to 1 quart of water; or 1 part
milk to 5 parts water. Spray leaves and stems early in the
day or very late in the day. If it is too warm your plant
will crispy critter, especially with the oil solution.
I've never used milk, but several people I know who grow
squash have, I use the oil and baking soda and it works like
a champ for me.
I'd be more inclined to try milk now. Used to be I never had
it in the house, now I have dairy goats and it is almost
always at hand. ;-)
