A spreader-sticker is a chemical that reduces the surface tension of
water. When the spray hits the leaf it sheets on to the leaf rather than
remaining in droplets so you get better coverage and disease control. If the
spray dries on the leaf, it becomes harder for rain to wash it off. If you
are spraying something on a one week interval, I would not increase the
number of days between sprays. Some fungicides and herbicides are partially
broken down by the sun. Use it for the better coverage and forget the
sticking benefits, even though it will be more resistant to wash off.
