Maybe it's not quite superstitious- but I know someone who named their
(sole) pumpkin plant last season. Kurtis the pumpkin (students of german
will understand the alliteration) had a very sweet personality of his own,
draped his vines in an artistic manner, and was greeted each morning.
Unfortunatel;y this devortion was somewhat wasted on him, as he was a puny
thing, and only had one puny fruit. (I think he was over fertilised..)
Ok, maybe that's a useless tale- but fogive me, I'm stuck having to
research with the "Gatorade Institute of Sports Science" (ooooohhh, what a
reputable institution, I'm sure they produce some quality independent
research) when I could be at home admiring my early seasons' cotyledons.
Cheers
