Pruning

Hello Pumpkin People:


        1.    I am down to one friut per plant and have pinched off most
side vines but my plants still continue to flower ( male & female) should I
pick these flowers off or doesn't it matter?

        2. It is starting to get colder at nights now around 6c and I was
told that if I build a poly tent around it and place a light bulb inside at
night to keep the pumpkin warm it will grow more? what do you all think of
this, is it a little far fetched ?
