Re: Eliminating flowers

Kenny:

If you are growing Atlantic Giants and if you have a pumpkin on the vine
which is bigger than a volley ball and if it looks healthy and has a good
stem and if you are going for size and if you have more than one plant, then
you could begin to cut off all the new females but probably not all the males
as it is a lot of work with questionable value. If you limit your plant to
one pumpkin you are taking the chance of ending up with no pumpkin on that
plant. If you have only one plant then you may end up with no pumpkin at all.
I would wait until your plant has a pumpkin around 75 pounds before I cut off
all the other females.
