Pumpkin Etching

Hey all,

I hate to ask this question, but here goes. . .Will 'pumpkin etching'
stunt the growth of an Atlantic Giant?  We have several growing,
although I don't know the weight of any of them (how do you figure that
out?).  We're sure we're not going to sell our largest one, and thought
it would be a good one to personalize with our Pumpkin Patch name
(Pumpkins & More) and put on display.  Another thing. . .it's already
turning orange - is it too late to personalize it?  Is it near the end
of it's growth period?
