We would probably be amazed if we knew all the strange things that have
been tried to grow big pumpkins. When I was out at the Missouri School of
Mines I took a course in the history of science. One thing that was brought
up was that many scientific breakthroughs came from people new to a science
or someone involved in a totally different science. The reason for this was
that scientists sometimes don't explore new avenues for their training has
somewhat brainwashed them. I really don't think milk feeding falls into this
category, but you never know.
