Well Pumkinguy
I am just amazed by your experiments with growing the giants - very
inspirational! Hope that compost field has cooled down a bit now. I
got so worked up over this milk feeding issue because I saw it as a case
of someone trying something different who was being told to go away and
be quiet - well, if there wasn't a bit of controversy, great difficulty,
luck, scope for wacky experimentation in growing the giants, then I'd
just stick to growing normal size red tomatoes for my summer salads.
Whilst at the back of my mind I perhaps acknowledge that it boils down
to good genetics, plenty of water, food, sun (as I have read on the
forum), I am not a scientist, and so I guess that I always hope that
there is a bit more to it than that! Perhaps this is hoping that there
is more to losing weight than eating less, exercising more - anyway,
best wishes with your giants this season.
