August deadline

Things are going fairly well in the pumpkin patch. We have one really good sized baby(good by comparison to the others) and a whole lot of little babies. We were a little disappointed because when we pollinated , they were all 4 or 5 lobe blossoms. Well August 1st , didn't a 6 lobe blossom open. Well deadline for a real giant be damned,we'll give it a try. Never know, I don't count on the big one till weigh off day anyway. If you never try, you'll certainly never succeed.
