Male Flowers

Hello again everyone! I have a question about the male flowers on my early
sugar pie pumpkin vines. Two days ago, the first male flowers bloomed. They
opened early in the morning and closed at around 10:00 am, which I had
expected. But they didn't open up again the next morning. I had expected
them to reopen at the same time in the morning and close at the same time as
they did before. New male flowers had opened up instead of the first ones.
Is this normal? The first of the male flowers that had opened look in good
condition but just not opened up.
On another note, I noticed at the end of my vines what looks to be an immature
female flower in the making, so I'm getting VERY excited now. This is my
first time growing pumpkins. Can't wait till next growing season when I'll be
in a house with a yard to grow my pumpkins in, instead of these containers.
But I'm learning all I can right now for next year, and I am very thankful to
all of you who have helped me. Have a great weekend!
