Chris,
I am not sure if it matures the pumpkins faster, or oranges them mup ,
but I do know that after talking to Tony Ciliberto on the phone this
past week, he increases his potassium on September 1st. My dilema is
that I can only find muriate of potash(0-0-60) to put down for my
postassium input. It is not a water soluble product, so I can not figure
out how to go about this. I looked for the Peters product and the ENP
products, but my area is so small, it does not carry anything that high
in potassium. I would love to know how people out there apply the
muriate of Potash(0-0-60)? Do most make a teabag, and steep it in
water? This time of year, would direct application burn off my vines
and leaves? Does anyone know of a place on line that sells Peters
products so I can get the 15-11-29? That seems to be a perfect fit for
my needs, but at this time it is not attainable, so I must figure out
what to do with this potash..
