You have to kill the bugs that pread the disease first with sevin and then
remove any infected plant material....it is best to prevent the problem
rather than deal with it's effects.
Solution: Spray the plants with a combination of liquid sevin and Benomyl
from the time the plant is about 2 or 3 feet long (mid to late may) until
harvest in oct.
