Mike - great tour of the patch. I was especially interested in the S. LaRue
1016 because that is one of my plants in my patch. The shape of my pumpkin
is almost identical to the pic. At present it is OTT 249 for app. 327 lbs.
It is putting on a respectable 7-10 lbs. per day. I pollinated it with a
Richart 871. In return, I pollinated the Richart 871 with the S. LaRue
1016.
The Richart 871 has put me into personal best territory today. It has an
OTT of 311.5 for a weight of app. 606 lbs. This one is gaining 13-17 lbs.
per day.As long as the weather stays the way it has been and barring a
disaster in the patch, I should be able to get it heavy enough to bring it
down to one of the weigh in sites come October.
Again, thanks for the tour.
Cheers. Jake in Port Alberni, B.C.
