By joining a growers group such as the Pacific Northwest Giant Pumpkin
Growers or Ottawa-St. Lawrence growers groups you would participate in
thier seed sharing plans. You would also be eligable to participate in
thier affiliated weigh offs and recieve thier newsletters. The benefits
are well worth the small investment. If you have no interest in
newsletters or weigh offs, the growers who participate in this
discussion group have been very generous in sharing seeds with others on
the list, but by joining a growers group you would have access to seeds
from pumpkins whose growers aren't connected to the web.
It sounds like you are doing a great job for a first time grower. You
have surpassed my best efforts to date and this is my third year. Keep
