Today I finally got out to do a second measurement on my pumpkins.
I have two pumpkins on each of my two plants. The pumpkins look pretty
good for the El Nino late start and not as much care during August as I
would have liked. I should not have any problems with bloosm end split
(wish it was something I had to worry about).
I got my seeds from Dave Gowan and some of the breeding line. My
first plant is from a 640 X 1006 seed. "A" pumpkin weighs 178 and "B"
weighs 190. My second plant is from a 727 X 963 seed. Pumpkin "A" weighs
110 and "B" weighs 93. The 93 pounder is the best shaped of them all and
will probably get bigger than the rest.
Brock, do you know anything about the lineage of Dave's seed?
That's the up date. Hot and breezy in Boonville today.
