i've seen a few this way but have had none personally. the ones i've
seen the growers dig a little ditch the whole way under the pumpkin to
allow room for the vine to sink under the shoulders. they must have done
this when it was young. how big is it now? if it's to big your mounding
the dirt idea might work just as well. I wonder about the stem though.
would there be enough clearence for it? what seed is it from. the ones
i've seen usually weigh light. I hope this won't be the case for you.
