Someone asked about a greenhouse, well basically the light rays from the sun
get through the glass easily, but when absorbed by the ground, etc., under
the glas, it is converted into heat waves, which are too short to go through
glass, so it gets trapped. Then all night the heat is trapped inside and also
gradually radiated back out from the ground and water. Although in really
cold winter, most greenhouses have heaters.
