Heat loss thru plastic is slightly less than glass. Air leakage thru
plastic is very low compared to glass that has lost some of the putty.
If building a greenhouse be sure to use Greenhouse plastic which costs
twice as much as the construction plastic found in stores. Construction
plastic will fall apart in the sun about mid-May in Indiana.
It is the summer sun that kills plastic. 3 year plastic installed in
September will often give 5 winters of service.
