Thanks for the reply Bill.....looks like the grubbex with methoxychlor did it 
for you.Last year I also had minimal damage using methoxychlor every 
week.This year i only used grubbex because I didn't have any sign of other 
critters...no ccbtls,squash bugs in my back yard patch....hate to overuse the 
chemicals due to sandy Island soils and an already dangerously polluted 
aquifer. It seems that this year,for me,grubbex didn't work.Last year,for 
me,methoxychlore on a weekly basis did work.For you,methoxychore and grubbex 
combined did work(and others)..therefore I conclude...1.don't just use grubbex
                 2-why use two chemicals when one will work?
  Next year i go back to methoxychlor........and soaker hoses.......Glenn
