My One Ton Cross (the Vermonster) now
measures: 107-69-70 = 246 OTT. That
means it should weigh a little over 300 lbs!
I culled one off of it on Thursday that weighed
130 lbs on my bathroom scales. I am hoping
that growth rate will pick up now, as it is only
growing about 11 pounds per day. I pollinated
this pumpkin on June 30, so this is day 39.
The color is a creamy-light yellow color. There
are a few scratches on it from racoons, but for
the most part it looks very good. I have it
growing on styrofoam ontop of plywood.
I have only sprayed w/ sevin twice (early) and
have had no SVB's or Cuke Beetles. (Knock on
wood)
My shade structure is made from pvc pipe and
a blue tarp.
Smiling,
Dan in Vermont
